Crumb was my first year film at SVA, and a great first one to start. I grew up with 14 cats and 3 dogs in one household, alongside some guinea pigs on the way. Cats are near and dear to my heart, and I love using them in my animations. Crumb was inspired by a nickname given to me in high school, Crumb. Crumb originated from how easily I took crumbs of affection (super mean, I know, but funny now). I was inspired by this experience in my personal life and put it all into this silly, simple cat.
